About

Hello people! I am Roopam Jain. Currently residing in Bangalore, India. I am a 24 year old girl working in IT field as a Software Engineer. However, that’s not much of a big deal. I do take my work seriously but only for five days of the week and it’s Sunday today. I always have a difficulty in defining myself within limited words. You can say I am a motley assortment of things. I have varied interests : I love to read (though not everything), words amuse me, I love listening to music, I myself am trying my hands at guitar since a few months, I love to travel but I also love peace and quiet. At the end of it all, I want to have lived a good life…No great life! Mmm? Sociable? I guess not. I take some time to gel with people and with them i am my unrestrained self! I am wondering how this text will change in a time gap of six months. But certain things never change about me: I am pretty vulnerable, pretty honest to people who matter and pretty fun-loving :)!

After six months..well nine months almost…

I have aged a year older…and turned into Lead Engineer this time (don’t ask me the difference, work is almost same). I am practising guitar more seriously these days. Also loving to blog and getting to know such encouraging bunch of people around. I have accepted my weakness for shopping as a character flaw. Realized I love nature more than the crowd. Have grown stronger by the day, I suppose. And I have got something going with this pose. I am doing it everywhere.

how time flies..about 4 years after the first intro…

I am soon closing the 30 benchmark. I no longer do the above pose. Also gave up on guitar. I own two cute cats now: Waffles and Tabby. They are important to me and have taken over my album. Life is quite up and down right now but isn’t it like that all the time?! I thought I was mature at one point but don’t feel the same of late. Engaged in pursuit of happiness as always.

another year later…

Boy o boy, turning 30 in a few months. Don’t feel old, just less excited about things. At a low point as I write this. But then, when have situations ever continued to be the same?

The pose never left me.

Thirty two as I pen this down, I am a married woman now. Love my partner. Such a strange feeling, putting a ring on it. Sadly, Waffles passed away. And I have certainly changed a lot. I don’t exactly know at what stage of life I am but I am a lot more content, calmer. I read these days; I like my job and I don’t like social media anymore. Have a few pain points, on my pursuit to resolve them.

High time we did new poses. Sensing a change incoming.

Can’t exactly tell but a year has definitely passed..God am I gaining weight?! It’s taken over my life. Need to count calories and food intake. Have started going to the gym and surprisingly I like it, never thought I would be this person. I am sensing a detachment from myself. Time to get back to the roots.

Yeah, that’s all me. Anyway, welcome to my blog. :).

  3. You know you should add the widget where one can subscribe to your blog through their email-id. I don’t know how many people would actually visit the ‘READER’ to read other’s post.

  4. Thank you so much for visiting my blog, Roopam. More than glad to meet you 🙂 Learning guitar is something I always wanted to do but never got the chance. It is nice to see that you are able to follow your dreams and managing it along with work. Not many people can do that 🙂 Keep writing and sharing your experiences, your readers are all ears 🙂

  5. Well, it was certainly nice to meet you, and after reading this “About” page, I guess I’m going to have to come back and find out just where you finally decide to take this wonderful little page of yours. We’ll be seeing you then. Until that time, take care, stay safe, and of course, BE HAPPY.

  8. I love this collection of your photos here! I love nature(too). I was amused at first to see your signature pose maintained across these scenically absorbing places, but, then I realized that even I wish to embrace nature, some times, and, just that, in your case, may be right when you were doing the same, some one clicked these pictures for you! So cool. ;).
